Alexandra majored in non-ficitonal filmmaking at the school of Arts in Bern in 2022 followed by her voluntary enrollment into the swiss army.
Being doomed to take online courses during the covid-pandemic she found photography to be a tool that helped her document stories without being bound to a crew. Inspired by an exhibition of Sebstiaõ Salgado’s photography she began to realize that all her interests in media and storytelling could be woven into each other forming one single career path and she decided to become a documentary photographer.
It is her way of processing current world happenings. In her work she focuses on issues of socio-political crisis and how they play out in the local micro-cosmos of families and everyday civilians. The work created is an observation and not a political statement.
She currently works as a multimedia producer and project manager while freelancing as a journalistic photographer.
